Ashley Wilburn is a native of Hagerstown in Maryland. She graduated from North Hagerstown High School where she received her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal career is focused on family law. She has a passion for it. She concentrates the majority of her work on divorce cases, alimony disputes, the distribution of marital property child custody battles, child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, enforcement and post-divorce issues as well as step-parent and private party adoptions as well as child welfare concerns. Ashley has been as a mediator appointed by a court since the year she assists parties in helping them resolve their disputes without the needing court involvement. Ashley mediates private disputes as well as court-appointed mediations for people who want to avoid the court process and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. Then, she pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. Graduating in 2013, she excelled academically, placing among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was an editor at the Western New England Law Review during her time at law school. This was a sign of her dedication to scholarship and research in the field of law.

Ashley began her clerkship career after she completed her law degree. She worked for renowned jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She had the privilege of serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. In 2014, she returned to Hagerstown Maryland to work as an attorney for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. In 2015, Ashley joined the esteemed law firm of Poole & Kane, P.A. As an associate attorney. The primary goal of the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services on cases that involved child welfare. Ashley's dedicated efforts contributed greatly to helping children who suffered neglect or abuse at hands their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to tackling social injustice was not limited to her legal career as she served as an active member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She worked tirelessly to raise awareness regarding human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and established her practice in family law – divorce, custody and child maintenance as well as guardianships and financial planning and estate planning – wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxies – and mediation.

Ashley established Wilburn Law Office, LLC 2023 with the aim of providing an individual approach to each client's need.
